2014-0106 - lists4 - someday dreams

I hope you enjoyed my last couple of posts (lists2 and lists3).  We had a lively and detailed discussion of Daily Lists and Project Lists.  I hope you will be able to incorporate some of the ideas I shared into your lives.  At the very least, I hope you’ve gained a new appreciation for list making, and that you’ll try it.  I’d be wandering about aimlessly without my lists! Today we’ll finish this topic with the more easy going “Someday Lists.”  Someday lists are far less structured than daily lists and project lists.  I jot down things that interest me; things I might like to – see, do, cook, read, have, make or accomplish – someday .  They are not so much lists of urgency or need; but, rather, of imagination, hopes, and dreams.   My Someday Lists include ... 2014-0105 - lists3 - project fun

As promised in yesterday’s post (lists2) , today we’ll discuss Project Lists .  Why so much time on lists?  It’s not just the writing of the list that I enjoy, or the satisfaction it gives me to check-off completed tasks, I love the creative planning that goes into the lists. Project Lists These lists support special events and endeavors; things I don’t do every day because I need to work in order to eat regularly and live indoors.  Such things might include vacation planning, birthday parties, side jobs, c...

As mentioned in yesterday’s post (lists1) , I use several kinds of lists; daily lists, project lists, and someday lists.  And, I keep all of my lists in my planner so I can easily keep track of them.  I like to joke around, saying that my planner is my “brain in a book” ; but, sadly, that really isn’t as far away from truth as I’d like it to be. Yes, friends, I still use a paper planner even in this marvelous day and age of anytime, anywhere, anyway computing.  My paper planner has never once crashed on me or dumped all my contacts.  It is portable, easy to use, doesn’t need a Wi-Fi connection, and works when the electricity goes out.  I can doodle or decorate each page as I see fit.  And last, but not least, I just love the sound, texture, and even the smell of real paper.  It makes me happy when I turn the pages.   I also like Bic Crystal pens so I can watch the ink disappear.  The vanishing ink makes me feel like I’ve acc...
